No Smoking Sightseeing Coaches

Due to a policy of no smoking in many states, and to avoid confusion, Tri-State Travel has adopted a policy of No Smoking on any Tri-State Travel Motorcoach. Convenient rest breaks are included in every tour so that those wishing to indulge may do so.

Seating Arrangements

Seats may not be reserved, however, so that all passengers may enjoy the amenities of our deluxe motorcoaches equally, Tri-State Travel has installed a practice of rotating seats on a regular basis in a definite pattern.

Tour Directors

Most tours are personally and professionally conducted with a Director and Driver on each motorcoach, both striving to make your tour worry-free. Local guides and drivers are provided as needed to give you a complete picture of each new destination you visit.

Baggage Allowance and Responsibility

Each passenger is allowed one large suitcase which will be handled for you throughout the tour. A small overnight or tote bag may be carried on board. Additional suitcases may be handled at a cost of $6.00 per person per day. Every effort will be made to handle each passenger’s luggage as carefully as possible, however, Tri-State Travel accepts no responsibility for loss or damage. CHECKED LUGGAGE MUST NOT WEIGH MORE THAN 50 POUNDS.

Tours Include

All transportation, as shown in the itineraries, will be via restroom-equipped, air-conditioned luxury motorcoaches, except where other transportation forms are specified. Comfortable hotel and motel accommodations await you each night on tours requiring overnight stops. Also included are baggage handling, sightseeing, admissions, taxes and the services of a tour director and driver. Meals, if included, are identified with each tour program.

Not Included

All meals not listed in the itinerary are not included in the price. For those meals not included, we suggest a 15% – 20% gratuity per meal. Souvenirs and personal items are not included. Gratuities for the Tour Director and Driver are not included and tipping is at your discretion at the end of the tour on an individual basis. The suggested level of gratuity for the Driver is $3.00 per day per person, and the same for the Tour Director.

Immigration

Each United States citizen should have in his/her possession proof of citizenship when entering Canada or Mexico and re-entering the United States, i.e. a current passport or other required identification. Those persons who are not citizens must have necessary documents for entry into Canada and Mexico and re-entry into the United States. No vaccinations or shots are required. Documentation requirements vary on other international tours. Complete up-to-date information in regard to each particular trip is provided at the time of booking. If for any reason you do not have required papers or documentation which in turn prohibits you from continuing on with the tour group, any additional overnight accommodations, air-fare and general expenses will be at your own expense and not the responsibility of Tri-State Travel.

Reservations and Deposits

Because, in most cases, only a limited number of people can be accommodated with our transportation and hotel availability, and because of the continued popularity of our Worry Free vacations, Tri-State Travel recommends you make reservations for your favorite tours at the earliest possible date. All deposits are due within 10 days of making the reservation. Tri-State Travel accepts cash, personal checks, or credit cards (MasterCard, Visa) as payment for all catalog tours.

Motorcoach Tours Deposit

$100.00 per person for most tours. (Some tours may require a higher initial deposit.) Final Payment is due not later than 45 days prior to departure.

Air, Rail & Cruise Tours Deposit

$500.00 per person – for most tours. (Some tours may require a higher initial deposit.) Final payment is due not later than 75 days prior to departure unless otherwise indicated. Due to the volatility of the airline industry, airfares included in the tour price are estimated. Exact airfares will be confirmed at the time of booking. Airline tickets are non-refundable once purchased.

Motorcoach Tours Cancellation

  1. Patrons will receive a full refund of all monies paid to date when cancellations are received 45 days prior to departure.
  2. Cancellations received 44 to 30 days prior to departure will be assessed 50% of the per person tour price.

Travel Protection Plan

A Travel Protection Plan is available and is strongly recommended. Premium is non-refundable unless the entire tour is canceled. Any surcharges and/or tax increases received from suppliers for this package (airlines, cruise companies, hotels, etc.) may result in an increase in the per person price of your tour package. For those individuals who have purchased the Travel Protection Plan, this may also result in an increase in your Travel Protection Plan Premium.

Traveling Companions

If two or more persons have made reservations to share accommodations while traveling together, and any member of the group cancels, the remaining members will be required to pay the advertised rate based upon the number of persons actually occupying the accommodations during the tour.

Pre & Post Tour Accommodations

Tri-State Travel departure points are conveniently located near many motels. Our staff will be happy to assist you with your pre- and post tour accommodations. These accommodations will be at the patron’s expense, but at a special negotiated rate.
